rear glass adjustment?

hey i got a 2002 x and evertime i have to close the glass on my rear hatch i have to slam it really hard. im afraid im gonna break it one of these days i have to slam it so hard. is their any way to fix this? i imagin they did not come this way from the factory. im wondering if their is any way to adjust the latch or something to fix this? any help is appreciated

please help before i have to make a thread about replacing a shattered rear glass haha

so im gettin the new one today from the auto recker. the ford dealership quoted me at $1800 but i found one localy for $500

yea 500 for glass and the molding. every were else was over a grand so i think i did pretty good considering the prices. im lucky i found one localy the other closest one was in nova scotia

How did it shatter on you?

I just replaced my hinges on my 04 a few days ago. Luckily nothing happened like this as many others have stated.
