rear glass window wont open

Hey guys, i there is something in the rear window that has broken and now i cant open it. when i do i can hear the actuator but thats it. how do i remove the plastic cover from inside to repair it. i tried but lookes like i have to open the window to get at it and i cant. any suggestions. thanks

I think what you are experiencing is that the hinge pins for the back glass, have all but let loose. Take a look at the hinges for the rear glass and see if they are sagging at the hinge pins. If they are, the rear window glass has dropped far enough that the window itself is binding on the rear lift gate. I'll be installing my second set of replacement hinges on the wifes' Explorer (2002) SAME issue.
