Rear hatch glass squeak

I have a very annoying squeak coming from what I'm certain is the latch for the rear hatch glass. In addition to rough roads, it also squeaks when I shut the rear hatch. I've tried some white grease on the latch, but it always seems to return. Anybody else had this problem? What was the solution?

spray silicon grease (it's clear and available at pepboys) on the rubber gasket that make the seal between the glass and door. I sprayed it on that gasket, as well as all of the rubber door gaskets and all of my door related squeaks dissapeared
