Here is what i got:
My tailgate opens with no problems. My Rear Window will not open. I have opened that little insert that is inside the gate by the locking mechanism and tried to force it open and nothing.
Any Ideas? I would love to have my window functionality back since i use it a whole lot more than the lift gate.

You'll need to remove the trim panel and see what's going on inside the mechanism. I suspect a linkage has come off one of the little plastic clips, but the only way to know is to open it up. It's a 5 minute job.

You'll need a philips screwdriver.
Sitting in the cargo area, pop the plastic cover off next to the latch assembly. There is one screw in there.
Remove the two screws from the pull handle and remove the handle.
Pull on the window trim panel on the top and two sides. Give it a good tug as there are (IIRC) three clips across the top and two on each side.
With the window area loose, pull up on the whole panel to disengage the large hooks from the door panel.

Nothin' to it! Takes all of 5 minutes.

Just realized you said the tailgate would open... You can do the same thing over your head. Just don't drop it on your head.

Also, if you cannot open the window, you'll need to make a small cut where the plastic runs between the window latch and the window. The window latch sort of traps the plastic in place... The cut you need to make to remove it will only be visible when the window is open, so it's not too big of a deal...

Good luck!

welcome and nice mounty and x u got there

I am also having trouble with window tailgate latch. I am not sure what plastic cover you are talking about. There is just the trim that covers the wiper housing and the latch assembly. I can get that loose but there are steel posts that has a slot in the trim, possibly a u-shaped post, that I can't get detached from the plastic trim. Yanked up, pushed down but no success and I don't want to bust the trim. Any help will be appreciated.

You'll need to cut that to remove it. That steel post is the window catch.

It's a very simple latch. If you feel no resistance when depressing the button it's locked and not contacting the release lever. You might be able to fiddle around without completely removing the plastic but it'll be tough
