Has anyone replaced the metal brake line between the rear wheels? Remember how long it is? 40 inches maybe?

I have done mine (very common for that line to rust out), and all I recall is that it was quite a bit longer than 40 inches. I think I used a 72, and just coiled the excess around a big socket til I had the right length.

hi drdoom, that works very well but important that coils be kept horizontal,, air trapped in those coils can be a bi,, uh bear to get out,, have top coil loops on top toward wheel so that bleeding air pushes to the wheel, buck

Excellent point, Buck. I never considered that, Thanks.

If you buy or rent a flaring tool you can make the line the proper length and route it just like the factory.

52 inches worked just fine for me.

Jesus christ, most women are happy with 6.
