I just traded in my 2011 Explorer for a 2016. In the the 2011 I could do two things I can't seem to do in the 2016 and I'm hoping someone can help.

1. I trailer my boat. When backing down a ramp to launch I could disable the rear parking aid alarm so it doesn't beep in the 2011 but can't seem to find that same functionality in the 2016. Does it exist and if so how do I do that?

2. In the 2011 I could purposely lock my keys in the car. The 2016 doesn't seem to alleged me to do that as it automatically unlocks the doors. Is there a setting I can change you to allow that?

Thanks

Welcome to the Forum.:wavey:
What method did you use to lock the keys in the 2011?

If the rear sensors are considered part of the rear parking assist, then they can be 'Disabled' according to the Owner's Guide.
