Hi everybody.
This is my first post, so Ill try and ask a good question.
(Already searched the forums and LMC parts)

I have a 4 door Eddie Bauer X and the metal weatherstripping/window channel in the rear doors is completely rusted out. It is just hanging there by the exterior rubber. You could probably force the window out with a screw driver because the piece I am talking about is disintigrated. I am refering to the piece of metal/rubber that separates the rear passenger window from the piece of fixed quarter glass. It is obviously an extension of the internal window channel but I am wondering if anybody has replaced this before or has experienced this problem.

The truck is mint but for this flaw. If you look at it quick the rubber exterior hinds the problem but you can almost peel the rubber off of the channel because it is rusted bhind it.
Any and all help/assisitance/direction would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Matt

Hey Matt I had a 91 eddy that started doing the same thing...
It's not all that uncommon so a repair must be out there...
Mind you when it comes to rust It is usually worse than it looks...
Get it done by a body shop and be done with it...
Good luck...

i have the same problem on my 94.

i think you can take it apart and replace them.

i was going to go to the junkyard and take one apart to see how.

I had both of mine done last week on my '94 at a local body shop in the St. Louis area. The channels were $304 each. One channel for each door.

YIKES!!!!!!!!!!

i will find some in the junk yard beforei would pay that.

was that just for the part or part and labor to install?

:exp:

That was just the part!!!! I had 2 other body shops quote the same price.

The new ones are heavy plastic. It looks like it comes as one long piece and is bent to fit the channel.

i will be getting mine off a parts truck in the junkyard.
