doesnt anyone have an idea if this is possible or is there a different tread on here i havent found yet?

You might try the modified forum, but your question is posted here in the stock forum. Search for SOA (spring over axle). Rear axle and suspension in a second generation Explorer is basically unchanged from first generation, so anything done to a '91-'01 should be possible on yours.

basically when you do a SOA you can just flip the U-bolts weld on a spring perch (or use a superlift SOA spring perch, they also have sway bar links) but the sway bar links need to come from a kit or need custom made (easy to do)

ok thanks i think it was a bad idea / design to make them under axle its easier to mod if the are over axel but ill look into it i would think it would also give it some lift by swapping then over

about 5" of lift
