Does anybody know where and how much the rear springs will cost to replace and where to get them from?

$100 a piece from LMC truck. might check a local spring shop

Just did mine, due to a spring failure. I was quoted $100 for the springs (each), and $140 each side in labor. That's $480 total.

Soooo, I went to the local auto parts store, bought a pair of Monroe Quick Struts, and spent an hour replacing both springs AND struts on both sides, for $372. As a bonus, there's a $60 rebate (ended May 31st), so it cost me a total of $312.

Ok 10-4 thanks for the tip...Do you think I want a 3 leaf or 4 leaf set? And this is something i can do my self correct?

I would go with the 4 leaf set, and replace the U-bolts and inspect your shackles and possibly replace those as well if they're rusted badly (the stock shackles can rust through)

it's VERY doable in your driveway, you just need and impact wrench, a compressor, and the right impact bits, and a standard wrench set, and maybe a torque wrench (all these tool should be standard for any good driveway mechanic)

you cant beat the price of the lmc springs.
i beleive the 3 leafs from lmc are the replacement for the stock packs. ive never seen their 3 leaf in person but the 4 leaf pack uses 4 thinner leaves and no overload.

gbranh, you have a 3rd gen, completely different truck
