Hi all:

In my '01 Sport, if I stop even moderately quickly, as the body rocks back to a level attitude just at the moment of stopping, there is a noticable feeling of binding and a soft clunking noise. It almost feels like something is hanging up on the rear suspension. I've looked it over, but can't find any signs of damage or unusual wear. I've tried bouncing the suspension while on level ground, but it doesn't happen then. Just when braking. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Regards,
John.

I've got something similar it's been there since it was new. It's intermittent, depends on how fast I stop. I figure since mine is AWD, it's just the drivetrain syncing back up- or in other words the difference between braking in the rear and front, so it just bumps when the front and rear axles equalize.

Dont' know if that makes sense, but...
