I have a 99 EX with stock 2wd suspension. My rear suspension is very squeeky when bounced up and down and when driving slow over speed bumps and stuff. No worn components except band that straps together leaf springs have some of the gasket material broken off.. Should I just spray down all bushings and connections with silicone? Anyone got some tried and true tips for me?:D

Have you noticed any decrease in suspension performance? Specifically, leaf spring sag or the shocks wearing out? Just wondering.

Mine squeek some too. I think a lube should do the trick

suspension works fine, just squeeky. unless someone has a trick up their sleeve, I'm just gonna spray the whole thing down with silicone.

Here's a trick. Use some of that spray wax at the do-it-yourself car wash. It will work for a while.

Thanks for the input. I think I will try lubing up everything good first and get the swaybar bushings real good. I want to leave the bar on though. Might try the spray wax next. The squeeking is just annoying when driving slow with your windows open. a $30,000 vehicle shouldn't remind you of a stagecoach.

Mine squeaks and groans at the shackle bushings, I greased the spring pads with wheel bearing grease and that improved the ride a bit.

Now I gotta track down a squeak in the front suspension.

Okay! fixed it. I sprayed the sway bar bushings and leaf shackle bushings with 1 lube (supposed to be safe on all rubber). Squeeking completely gone! It's been three days now, so I'll see how long this fix will last. Thanks again for the input. 95% of the squeek was coming from the sway bar bushings- just like CAMPO said.
