Hello All,

I put new rear sway bar bushings and end links on my 2001 Sport Trac today and have all of the specs for the various bolts and nuts except for the upper mounting bolt for the sway bar end link. My manual lists the torque for the lower mounting nut but not the upper bolt. Does anyone have that torque value? Thanks! Brett

55-59 ft/lbs. seems high for those rear end link upper u-nuts, especially since the sway bar frame brackets are only 35 ft/lbs. using the same type of nuts. I tightened to 40 ft/lbs. and used blue thread lock. Haven't come loose yet, and check them every time I grease the rear sway bar frame bushings. Strange, my 2005 ST Work Shop Manual shows the sway bar to lower end link nuts @ 76 ft/lbs.

That was exactly my concern. I tightened them to 30 lb until I find the actual number. It is odd that the number is hard to find. On another note the new bushings and links were a significant improvement, an easy and cheap fix.
