I have a 2005 explorer with the v6 and I had the right rear tie rod replaced by a dealership and of course a 4 wheel alignment and the dealer never mentioned wheel bearing problems at the time. I just rotated the tires the other day it doesn't get very many miles put on it but i noticed the rear wheels rocking when you push top to bottom and left to right which i usually take as being a wheel bearing but we have driven it since the tie rod replacement which is going on 8 months but only about 6k miles and the rear tires weren't showing much feathering. Now my real question is how both wheel bearing go bad at the same time because i never noticed it before and if you guys think that they are wheel bearing issues. I cant really diagnose off of noise because when i bought it it has always had the notorious explorer differential whine and cant pin point if the bearings are growling or not. Also how long is it safe to continue driving the vehicle with out it causing a problem?
