I've searched page after page of threads. How do you replace a rear wheel stud on the 2006-2010 2wd explorer?!

Just wait til It’s time to do your next rear wheel bearing replacement on that side, then you can buy a new hub and bearing kit, they are very inexpensive, however they need to be pressed in.

If it’s broken or stripped, I surely wouldn’t wait to replace it. There’s no room to drive it out, and slip one in from the rear? They don’t really need pressed in, you can pull them in from the front with a tool, or some ingenuity and a lug nut.

There is no room to remove it. It's looking like a nee hub is the only way to go.

Often there’s an indent near the bottom to help. I did it on my last Mounty, but had to grind a little off the threadless portion. It looked like it wasn’t even close, but a very small angle was enough to get it in.
