well i havnt posted to much here but i cant find alot of info on how to fix broken wheel studs on the rear tires do i have to remove the axle if so could you point me to the right info on that or can i do it without and furthermore what should i be watching for that may tell me i need a new axle thanks

I'm not sure how much clearance there is, if any to pound it out, then insert the new one, and use a lug nut and some greased up washers to pull it through. Thats the way I put some in, but that was with the axle already out.

Otherwise, you're gonna be taking part of the diff. carrier apart to take the axle out. Not fun for just a wheel stud.

The studs are 1/2"-20 so you should be able to use a 1/2" bolt and hammer to drive out the old stud.
The knurled part of the shank is a bit larger than the threaded section.
Remove the brake drum and there should be plenty of room to drive out and install the new stud.
