With winter coming I wanted to make sure things are up to speed with my X. This is my first winter with it and I am very much a newbie to the Explorer game, so if this is a silly question, please bear with me.

When I was crawling under my truck to put on my trailer hitch, I noticed that there are no wheel well liners in the rear. Is this correct? I mean, any slush, sand and other crap is going to get packed in all over the place, especially in the bumper. Is there a fix for this? The front end has a rubber liner, and I was expecting to see something like this in the rear wheel area also.

Neither my 98 Sport or my 99 XLT have wheelwell liners in the back. I put splash guards on my Sport and that helped a little, but I don't think there are any aftermarket or ford wheelwell liners.
I am going to be rubber coating as much as I can on my XLT in the next month in preparation for winter.
