rear window exploded

i was sitting in my truck just about to get out when all of a sudden my rear glass lift gate exploded inwards. the body molding right below the glass cracked right in half just left of the mercury symbol. I went to ford and they just told me that they have never heard of such a thing and i must have put something through the glass. and ford will not cover it they claim it only happens under abuse.

ill post pics when i get a chance but i was just wondering if anyone had any issues like this. i have read online about many stories about it happening to them when they were standing under the glass and it exploding so i just wanted to warn everyone to be careful and if the crack in the body molding gets really bad then thats supposed to be a sign of the window weakening. i love my truck but ford is really putting alot of owners in danger.

Ford is full of s*** they replaced the one on my 2003 under warranty after the glass blew out in 2004 while they were adjusting it. Replaced the interior hatch trip and the sill trim from the shards of glass cutting it all up as well.

Wow thats amazing .. i'd go to another dealership and see what they have to say.
