How difficult is it to remove the motor and what do you have to do exactly to change on out? I believe the motor is shot on mine. How much time do you figure it will take? If I have to drill out rivets how to you replace them?

Thanks,
Dave

you have to remove the interior panel from the hatch and the wiper arm from the exterior, remvoe a few screws and it comes out.

There are threads about removal that go into more detail.

doing some searching may be fruitful.

I have done some searching and I have not seen any clear cut answers so I decided to post specific questions about the process. I was not talking about the rear wiper motor but the rear door window motor. I'll create a new thread with a less confusing title. Thanks.

if you are talking about a rear passenger door, you have to remove the door panel, it's held on by a couple of screws (remove them) and lots of plastic "pins" use a putty knife to probe for the pins, when you find one pry straight out from the side till all are loose then disconnect the switch wires and you can almost see the window motor. feel for the wires that power the motor to find the motor you may have to drill a hole to access some of the bolts, there will be a dimple in the door where you need to drill, just drill the hole big enough for you socket to fit. remove bolts and disconnect power and work it out of whatever hole it's near. to install reverse said procedure.
