Rear wiper (mind of its own

It seems that the rear wiper on my wife's ex has had some kind of mental breakdown. This this has decided that it will run whenever it pleases. Smart guy me disconnects the switch until I have more time to look into the situation. My thought process was no switch no wiper. Wrong. The stupid thing is still running whenever it feels like it. My question is does anyone know off the top of their heads what other electrical things are tied into the wiper system? I do not have a manual as of yet so I thought that if someone has had a possesed wiper they may be able to help. It is a 91.

I don't have a solution but my friend has a 98 4dr XLT that does the same thing.

Had the same problem over a year ago.

Take off the back door panel and vapor barrier. Clean all the contacts and other things you find. I honestly can't remember what did the trick but I cleaned everything I could find and haven't had the problem since then
