rear wiper

OK, I have searched to no avail. On my 91 I replaced the rear wiper wih a new one about a month ago, it didnt go on all the way so I had to cut some metal away to get it to fit. Is this normal for 1st gens? I have found the rear wiper size as stated in the books to be a 13 in bosch, and either 13 or 14 most others. I got the right size according to the book, but now as I search different companies like bosch, rain x etc. There are some conflicting sizes, 12, 13, 14. Well to say the least I am confused since I can't find these sizes at my local parts store, pep, autozone... or wal mart. What is the actual size, 13 in.? And do they still sell these? Is there a trick to modifying them to work because the one I put on a month ago is hanging off.?

Any of them will work, the bigger ones will just wipe more glass off.

walmart told me it was a 14", thats what i bought, and it fit. I really should think about a longer one..

Yeah, I got a 13", but now I'm thinking I should replace it with something longer. 13" doesn't really cut it when my rear windshield is dirty.

13" is the size stated in my manual for my 94.
