I damn near swallowed my thyroid when I sauntered down to the local autoparts store to price out the parts to rebuild the top end of my 91 OHV! Here's what I found...
Rocker Arms - 12 X 23.69 ea - $284.28
Push Rods - 12 X 9.80 ea - $117.60
LIFTERS - 12 X 68.71 ea - $824.52
Top end Gasket kit - $263.84
The total is around $ 1675.41 (Canadian) after the taxes. Not including getting the heads checked and maybe valve guides or whatever other bad things there may be...
Could anyone suggest any less expensive suppliers US or Can that might save some $$$? I have to rebuild very soon, but am finding the parts costs scary
