Can any give any references for a local/honest/fairly priced shop in the Memphis, TN area? I have a 2003 4.6 V-8 Mountaineer that's getting coolant in the oil. I've confirmed with an oil analysis that I have coolant intrusion. I'd taken it to the dealer pryor to this because of the drop in coolant and asked for a pressure test. The dealer replaced the rear heater core line as the cause. Coolant continued to drop, so this is not my shop anymore. It's either going to be the beginnings of a head gasket, a freeze plug, timing cover, or something similar. I'm looking for a shop that will diagnose, do a quality job at a fair price. Any suggestions appreciated. I just don't have the time/facilities for this type of teardown/repair.

Look up a NAPA Auto Care Center (Repair shop, not parts store). Then make sure their shop is 'clean,' ie parking lot doesn't look like a wrecking yard. Shops pay money (ie expense) and have to be approved to be an autocare. Not required or guaranteed to be a good shop, but it's a starting point.
