Need Brake Rotors and Pads? Recomendations?

I have a 2002 EB Explorer. I am going to replace the front rotors and pads on my own this time. Should I be weary of Auto Zone, Napa and Advance Auto pads and rotors for any reason? Are they loud or anything I should look out for? What are some combos you all use? Ceramic or Regular Pads? My car has ABS and traction control, but not stability control

I just want to do this right the first time.
