I have an 03 with a bad trans and was wondering if there was a kit that was recommended to overhaul this thing? I have done some searching and have found a few kits on ebay but im not a big fan of stuff like that off ebay.

I don't have a trans kit recommendation except to say don't buy generic on Ebay. This is too much work to use cheap parts. For torque converter, also only use the best you can get. They are notorious for going bad and noisy. I used a Transtar in mine. It had upgraded Sonnex clutches. They are notoriously noisy and the upgrade makes it totally silent. Cost me $330 from a local tranny shop. I think I mentioned before, but only use NEW OEM solenoid body. I used a Transgo shift kit. It addresses some flow and noise issues and firms up the shifts. Shifting may be too firm for some people but it will extend the life of the tranny. I've actually chirped the tires on occasion shifting into 2nd on my Aviator!
