i remember reading that you can mod the explorer to take it out of full time AWD, does anybody know if this will work on my 98 sport ???

...For your Ranger, also search "AVM"

Do you mean A4WD? If so then the brown wire mod should help you.

If AWD then then the only way to keep it from going into 4wd is to remove the drive shaft.

hey just read all your buildup pages. Wanted to say nice job on what seems like a pretty budget build. I love that snorkel I'd love to put one on my ex but I'd never use it.

put it on anyways haha. they are cheap and IMO look awesome! im planning on doin one aswell, i rather have it and not need it than not have it and want it... better safe than sorry right?

Haha very true. Though if I wanted to do it I'd have to buy a new airbox. I plan on drilling a bunch of holes into it soon for the airbox mod.
