Registration for salvage title

Is there anything special I would need to do to get a salvage titled vehicle to pass emission and inspection? If the airbags/lights/blinkers etc all work shouldnt it pass, or does it have to go through a special process?

Depends on the state, some of the states require the vehicle be inspected by the state police/trooper and their inspection will be the final decider if it can a rebuilt title or a standard title.

My jeep has a salvage title, but it gets inspected every year just fine

Each state is different, call your DMV and ask for the Salvage Title paper work. I just did my 99 last year, here it isn't bad. Do make sure that you use the matching seat belts for the vehicle VIN. States that do inspections will check those, plus various VIN etchings. Good luck,
