Approached my 97 Explorer today and the door would not unlock remotely.

Opened the door with the key, jumped in to find a dead battery.

Jumped the truck, it started right up and runs fine.

Hopped out and tried to lock it with the remote and it failed. Tried to lock it with the keypad on the door and it failed too. Tried to lock it from inside on the door panel and it locked correctly.

As it stands, none of the remotes work and the door keypad does not work.

Is there something I need to reset or reprogram?

sounds like it could be a fuse.

So after reading and trying everything here... I tapped the RAP with the lug wrench and it started working again.

Go figure
