I have already posted this in the Audio Forum and have gotten no help. Let me know if anyone has any info.

I am considering what type of remote start to install in my car. I have the after-market Viper alarm/start combo in my XLT but was wondering if the Ford option was a Plug-in alternative. I would prefer to keep the Ford remotes (easier not to mix up the keys for the two trucks).

Thanx

Joe

I know Bulldog security makes a remote start kit that lets you use your factory keyless entry remotes.. I believe its a RS-85i if I remember right.

If you own a Ford, use the Ford alarm. It is a great peice of work. I have one and wouldn/t take any other ones in exchange. Yes, it plugs right up to the existing stuff you already have.

It already has the key-less remotes. What is involved in the Ford Alarm/Remote start option install?
