Is it possible (without too much hassle) to hook a remote starter, made for an automatic, to a 5speed? I know its not the safest thing to do, but its getting harder and harder to find remote starters for manuals. Ive found a few, but I just dont care for them.
well it worked just fine, but since I had my tranny replaced and it sat for 11 months I think something got disconnected somewhere. I just haven't bothered to go look for the problem yet, I will wait for spring.
I also got the relay modules to make my electric door locks work with the remote so I spent a little more money on that feature but it was only like $20.
I hear people say that the remote starters for manuals aren't safe but I don't see how they aren't safe. I have to depress my brake pedal and put the ebrake on then put it in nuetral turn the key off(vehicle stays running) then when I exit the car it shuts off. If door is opened the remote start is disabled.
yes it works just put a Valet remote starter in my 91 x
5 speed just need to unplug the safety neutral swith and attach a wire from the pink wire on the plug to the other pink wire. Make sure it is not in gear
