Hey guys, I tried searching with no luck on this particular subject, many threads on the switch itself but none on this topic.

Ok so my hanes manual says in order to take out the MFS I need to remove the steering wheel , Is this accurate? or is there a way to do it with out the removal?

If it is necessary to remove the steering wheel do I need the specail puller tool it speaks of in the book?

Thanks for your help in advance, I plan on doing it this weekend when I go pick up my new (used) switch.

My 94 does not have an airbag, but I will dissconect the battery anyway , always do when Im working with electric. So since I need the puller , how much do they usually run?

Why are you removing it?

Thanks for the quick reply, What year X do you have?, I must of seen you around a few times lol.

Thanks Aldive!, your threads are always very informative and very helpful.

Posotive vibes, Im replacing it because my wiper switch is shot, I have to turn it on and off a few times, and you cant feel it click correctly, also because Im having issues with my headlights/highbeams that stops when i beat on the stick a litte bit oh and its giving me issues with my tail lights with the directionals(once they return I have to lift the stalk a little bit or the brake light wont work on on side or the other.

Gotcha! I also didn't know what a MFS was. :(

You do not need to pull the steering wheel to pull the Multi Function switch.. Just the plastic around it (top and bottom).. If you need a pic of that area, let me know.. I still have the plastic off (I need to replace my ignition switch, but haven't done it yet, so the plastic around the column is currently off)

Thanks, guys I got it today I was just afraid of bending the plastic to far to pop them out of the tilt colar behind the wheel. I took off my dash trim because I had to replace my head light switch as well so once that was off it was easy and took about 3 minutes to do. I finally have everything working correctly!
