HELP!!! Somehow the serpentine belt on my 97 Explorer managed to nick the power steering hose and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to replace it. I've looked at both my Haynes and Chilton maintenance manuals to see how to remove the hose and all they do is talk about a quick-connect pressure line. Nothing is really said about how to remove the line and I'm very frustrated.I've taken the belt off, remove the fluid reservoir, and loosened the fan shroud to get to the high pressure line on the power steering pump. The connection going into the pump looks like a brass fitting screwed into a what appears to be a lock nut. I tried to loosen the nut with no success. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Tom
