So do's PPG, acryli-clean DX330, GOO Gone, paint thinner, mineral spirits, kerosine, turpentine, are all the same, mild solvents, they all work.
None of the above will hurt your paint/clearcoat.
Nor will gasoline (a little on a rag) or alcohol, are a little more aggresive solvents.
WD 40 works to a point.
On Chrome or SS steel i use, Lacquer thinner, MEK,xylene, or Toulene, the last 4 you do not want near any painted stuff.

I did manage to get the glue off today, it got up to 85 degrees around here, so I just took an eraser from a pencil, balled the stuff right up, now I just need to wash and wax.
