Can anyone recommend the easiest way to remove the EXPLORER emblems from the side doors? I've heard fishing line works. It's just double-sided tape right?

Try the link below. Yes, the emblems are held on by double sided tape. It says "dental floss" works good at removing the seal between the "double sided tape" and the door itself, but there maybe a small hole in the door panel once the emblem is removed. The hole is put there by Ford, not the removal process. You would need to fill in the hole and paint over it.

Thanks. My 2003 model does not have a hole because that is the only year out of the 2002-2005 models that DID NOT get this emblem from the factory. I only have it now because my auto body shop made a mistake putting it there last year when I had some work done. I just wanna keep it true to its year and I also think it looks cleaner without it.
