removing gear selecter knob on a automatique ford x 94

hey guys I had trouble removing the shift knob of my 94 explorer , and i was wondering if any of you knew how to proceed , thanks in advance

The knob on the column lever or the knob on the transfer case shifter. Don't know about the column knob but the transfer case knob has splines and slides upward.

 

[FR-425]

The auto trans shift knob is pressed on with epoxy.

You will have to smash it to remove it.
