Since we never carry huge loads in the X, and my wife is the driver 95% of the time, would it help to remove the overload leaf in the stock spring pack?
Obviously it will squat a bit in the rear but Im at a loss as to the poor ride were getting in the X???

Tires are balanced, it does have a TT but only about a 1" so I dont think that would cause that bad of a ride?
We also plan on replacing the stock shocks ,but again I dont think a heavier duty gas shock like a Bilstein etc. is going to smooth the ride that much, more controled yes but less harsh, I doubt it.

Any suggestions, has anyone removed this leaf?

I took mine off, but I also added a leaf, so I'm still very bouncy. 31" tires don't help.

Everybody who drives my explorer says the ride is very bouncy. Could your ride problems be associated with the fact that you stiffened up the front, but left the rear alone?(Stiffer front, soft rear)

When I bought my truck, I thought the ride was too soft, one of the reasons I added a leaf and TT.
