removing resonator

hey yall
today i cut the exhaust pipe off right behind the muffler in hopes of removing the resonator and to have the exhaust dump out right behind the muffler. but after i made the cut i could not get the exhaust tubing off of the car...meaning i can not remove the rubber thing that holds it to the chasis. are there any tricks to getting this thing off????

Soak it down give it a mineut and a little effort it should pop right off
