Is it possible to get decent results doing this by hand? I do not have access to a buffer, and the swirls arent noticeable unless you are withing a foot or 2. But they are an eyesore lol

yes, takes a bit more finesse though.

3M makes a swirl remover, you CAN do it by hand.

For swirls you can use hand glaze made by 3m we use it at work, or a wax could prolly achieve similiar results.

You can also buy a 6inch buffer from wal-mart for the price of some of the swirl removal products.

3M stuff is rediculously pricy. I got a fine grit polish at Carquest Paint and it was $10 I think for a small to medium sized bottle. The swirl remover was the same price. Like Jim, they sell small buffers at Wally World for dirt cheap.

I am getting a buffer off of harborfreight.com soon. They're pretty cheap there too.
