I finally did this after owning my X for 31/2 years. It's the first mod I've done (unless you count mud terrain tires and manual locking hubs). I have realized as I'm sure many of you noticed, you can't take corners very fast now. I'm ok with that. I am the biggest grandma driver until you get me on an unpaved surface.

I have yet to see how it performs off road. Maybe this weekend I'll go out and celebrate my new clutch and WARN hubs.

I have removed my rear sway bar, and have not noticed ANY difference in the cornering. I'm guessing you don't have an add a leaf in the rear, which I do, so this stiffens up the springs a good bit and is most likely the reason I didn't feel a difference.

rear sway bar off should make a big difference on the street! hahaha I usually remove mine completely for wheeling trips, the only reason I still have one is for towing. Withthe sway bar off be careful, it will flex like mad but you can get yourself in trouble if you are not used to it, you should consider some $15 hardware store quick disco's for the front

With the Rancho 9000's you can set them on really stiff and that helps a bit when the sway bar is gone. Add-a-leafs dont flex hardly at all, this is why you dont notice the difference.
