So on my '96 Explorer I have the "V8 AWD" badges on the front fenders, and on the back, but I am wondering how hard it would be to remove them? Are they just glued on, or are there alignment holes? I want to do this because I already have 5.0L Badges to stick on in their place. I personally think they look much better. What I am really worried about is it pulling off any paint, or leaving a line around where they where, I would really bother me to have a square of paint that does not match.

At this point, you are at risk of pulling paint. Heat them up, and run a fishing line behind them. You will have to work off any remaining paint.

IMO, leave well enough alone. Yes, the 5.0 badges look "better", but you really don't need no stinking badges....:D

but, but I really like them... if they are glued on only, I may just try doing the rear one first, and see how it goes. I am pretty sure before I owned it had a cheap respray done to it. considering the mis-match paint on panels, poor panel alignment, a dent puller being used, but not covered up very well, and most importantly the hook marks from the whole truck being on a frame pulling machine at one point in time. even if I do mess up the paint I am totally down for fixing everything that was done wrong on the truck previously.
