I think the problem with my Mountaineer is a stuck-open injector, or sticking valves. I hope its not the latter. Cylinder #2 is fouling after only 20 miles of driving, but has fine compression, and good spark. Bank 1 running rich, poor mpg, yada yada. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108712

I'm going to be removing the V8's upper intake, and wanted comments on what to do/watch for from guys that have done this. Any tips/hints appreciated.

ok watch the very last long bolt in the back You have to put it back in before you even try to center it back up. Also The antifreeze lines.... I HATE those clips. Another thing is while your there put a new gasket in it makes it so much easier. The mustang GT40 and the explorer gasket is the exact same.
