I took my blackouts off tonight and noticed a lot of condensation on my driver's side headlight lense. Upon further inspection (pushing on the light) I have discovered that there is about a quarter inch of water inside the headlight. Has anyone experienced anything like this or has any suggestions on how to get the water out?

You'll have to take the headlamp off, and pour the water out. In order to do that you have to take the whole grille off. Then you'll have to find and patch the seal thats causing the leak.

Great... That sounds rather involved. Who knows how the grille comes off on a '94? I'm going home this weekend and plan to fix a lot of stuff then, when I have a garage to work in.

I took the head light out on mine and drilled two small holes in the bottom of the headlight housing. One near the lens and the other near the back of the housing. I was getting sick of pouring the water out every few months. I know it isn't the best way to fix this problem, but it has worked for me. All the water is out as well as the condensation. Its been clear for about 8 months now.

I use to have an Escort that had the same problem. I drilled a hole (1/16th inch) in one of the lower corners of each lens. This allowed them to drain as well as dry out. It isn't necessary to remove the light if you are carefull. Also if you don't like the idea of leaving an open hole in the lens or play in mud frequently all you need to do to seal the hole is put a little dab of clear silicone over it.
