SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

water spots

Try white vinegar on a rag, wipe it on wipe it off with a dry rag!

hmm, ill try that tomorrow, thanks

WHat about really bad water spots etched in the hood? I have even clayed it and they still remain!

Bob, if the vinegar doesn't work, try Zaino Glass Polish

www.zainobros.com

You'll have to order it, but give Sal Zaino a call and he can tell you who your local distributor is. It works best when used with a machine polisher. It'll work by hand but will take a lot of elbow grease (trust me, I did all the windows on my car by hand).

Travis, go to www.carcareonline.com They have some really good tips for paint care. You might try P21S metal polish using 3M Imperial Hand Glaze as a carrier for it. You can get both from Car Care Specialties.

peace

Mike

Thx, Mike..I'll check that out

This is a real old trick.

Toothpaste. Put some toothpaste on a rag and polish it into the glass surface and it'll remove anything. Also works on watch faces, etc.

GS27 should also do the trick.

Water spots on glass

No Touch "Auto Glass Stripper". I found it at ACE hardware, You can order it from; Autokrafters.com

will that autoglass stripper damage the window?? i have the factory privacy tint, and i dont want to have to buy new windows!!!

The vinegar works, you can also try pouring a good splash of alcohol (not beer) in a little more than a half gallon of water. Thats what I use.

Auto Glass Stripper

Nope, won't hurt the glass. It's a mild polish made to remove water spots. I had the same problems with spots. I think its from silicone in waxes etc.
The factory tint your concerned about is in the glass not on it. I tried alot of products before this one! This is the first one I found that worked. But I have to admit, I think the toothpaste trick may work also. Try it on a small spot.

Hmmm..why not beer?!
I thought beer was the cure for everything?
:-)

Maybe the cure for people SOMETIMES, but not for trucks or cars ;)

Well... nothing will hurt the exterior....or interior of the windows if you have factory tint. If you have film tint though dont use any of these things on the interior, it'll scratch the hell out of the tint. Use a plastic polish for that.

#00 steel wool has never been a problem for me or any of my windows. we used this combo at the detail shop where i used to work. i promise, it sounds rough, but it works. we also use it for stubborn southeastern texas fried-on-the-windshield bugs!
