My driver seats incline lever is broken off, any tip on where I can buy one on line?
Ford Sweden will charge me a fortune for it, about 200$.
Any one else having problem with this, in my oppinion stupid design and have another solution?

There was a recall for this actually.

I broke one of mine this week too :fire:
I tried a search at ebay but couldn´t find any... so I also need to find out how to get one cheaper than the swedish ford dealers offer.
Does anyone know where?

Broke mine off a while ago. Now my seat is always slanted. Does anyone knows of the specifics for the recall like what years and any other info? Thanks

Would yall like for me to call the Ford Dealership and see how much they are? I would be more than glad to try and help.

Um why pay $200 TO PUT another handle on there that will break in the same fashion?
It is a piss poor design by ford, once both sides on my truck were broken I decided to do something about it.
So I took some strapping material (black woven nylon about 3/4" wide) and I sewed some 6" long straps, with a loop in the end for my fingers.

I then drilled out the rivet that held the handle in place, where it broke off.
I attached my new black straps to the seat with a big zip tie.

Now I just pull on the new strap and it works just like the lever. Best part is I dont catch the strap on my pants everytime I get out of my truck.
1 zip tie has broken on me to date so I keep a spare in my glove box :)

i can get a picture if you would like, Ford should have built them this way. :)

mine broke off too about a year ago and its stuck in its current position. ill look at the passenger side one (that one hasn't broken off yet) and try to fab something out of steel in a couple of weeks... will let you all know how it goes.

Yep, mine broke off when I first bought it. Ford replaced it under warranty

Thanks guys! But I´m gonna weld that POS and hope it will never brake again :banghead:

410Fortune, please send a pic of your solution, I won't put another of the same design back.

Did any one have any information about the the call for this, I have not seen anything on this before

Thanks

OKay I will get a pic for ya....should have it tomorrow...I am writing myself a note :)
