Had the Explorer in today for some maintenance items. Making sure I can get through another Midwest winter. Things like coolant flush and trans fluid change. This is the second service for both those items. I'm at 125,000 miles now.

I don't think the belt is due until 150,000 miles, but I had it done early.

The V-belt (FMC BT4Z 8620 A) was $41.39 parts and $58.00 labor. Total $99.39. Not bad.

2 expensive unscheduled repairs today were:

1) Air Inlet Door Actuator Motor (clicking noise in the passenger side) was $195.31 total

2 Replace ambient temp sensor was $177.47

Lucky, I had to have my serpentine belt done last week with only 50,000miles on my '12 Ex.... the squeaking was getting unbearable. $120 installed.

The only time I ever heard mine make noise was when driving through very deep water puddles on the passanger side. And that was rare. Couple times a year.
