I've got a 92 4x4 Ex that needs shocks pretty badly!!! What should I get? I found that the Monroe ones are pretty cheap.

I'm looking for inexpensive shocks that provide a good ride. I'm looking for more on road stuff as I'm looking at selling my truck and I'm using it as a commuter till I get rid of it.

Well, shocks, like a lot of things are you get what you pay for, but in some cases you can luck out and find a good deal.

What are you willing to spend price range PER shock, and we can help point you in the right direction?

No more than $30. I'm super poor right now. I'm trying to get a different job, but it's not working out too well.

if money is a concern then look to advance auto .they have their cheapest shocks for 21.99 (monroe's) .tho they are not to descripted on the 2wd and 4wd models but by the looks of it they may fit your truck .

for driveability issues and money i would just buy the fronts at least you'll have better steering etc..... of course it's alwasy best to have all 4 but i think that just the fronts ( if these will fit your truck) and the fact of low money will fit the bill for you . then maybe later on buy one good shock per wheel when money is willing ...that way you'll have ok steering and soon you could get all 4 then take off the cheap shocks and either keep them or sell them off to someone to get your money back .

just some idea's for ya .
