Hello all, been a while since i've posted, recently finished my PCS move to Stuttgart, Germany and of course shipped the "X" over. Vehicle arrived fine and dandy with no dings or dang. Either way, just curious to know if I should replace the current fuel filter in the X seeing the lowest octane over here is 90, highest is like 95-97? The fuel filter was replaced before I purchased it back in Nov 07, but seeing its 4 years later with 83k miles added since 75k at the time of purchased, just curious to know if it would be required.
Other than that, the vehicle runs/handles great on the autobahn. The fastest I got it up too was like 167kph (100 mph) on a straight away, steering wheel didnt shake or vibrate seeing I replaced both lower control arms and upper and struts. Also a little strange having to use the KPH rather than MPH. I must say driving overseas is a hell lot safer and smoother than stateside, its weird to see discipline on the road at high speeds. Amazingly the vehicle passed German Mechanical vehicle inspections too which 95% of American cars fail on the first attempt, number one killer is inoperative parking brake. Ill try to get some pictures posted of it next time my wife is with me.
