Replacing fuel pump on '03 ST

Well...I hate for my first post to be like this...I've owned by ST for exactly 30 days now and here I am pumping over $1k into it. I guess I should not have trusted the dealer where I bought it. It needs a fuel pump, I am a mechanical engineer and a former GM mechanic, can anyone tell me how difficult it is to replace the pump. Going by the fact that it is a 2.0 job, I am guessing that it is side mounted on the tank or something similar. Any info is greatly appreciated, thank you.

BTW...the other couple $$$ is for a pair of feathered Goodyear Wrangler tires...

The pump is located in the fuel tank. On trucks I usually pull the bed because it is about the same time and it doesn't matter whether the tank is full or not.
