My passenger side low beam headlight is blown, so i figured this would give me an excuse to pick up a set of the silverstar ultras and try them out. (had the regular silverstars in my '95 and loved them) problem is i can't see how to change them. I'm pretty sure this has been covered before but i search and could not find anything on it.

Never done it myself. I take it that you dont have a manual or it isnt covered in the manual.

:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

in all honesty it never occurred to me to look in the manual

Been there...done that.
Anyway, let us know how its done.

two ways to access a third gen bulb, first is to remove the battery or airbox (whichever side you are on), and access the bulb from there, second option is: there are two clips on the outside of the headlamp, they unclip and the bulb can be removed from the front. I have not tried the latter of the two only because I did not know about it until another member told me about it. The first one although more involved, allowed for me to install my silverstar easier without allowing me to have to actually touch the bulb which I hear can reduce bulb life.

well the one where you pop up the retaining clips and pull the whole headlight assembly out is the one the manual tells you about. did it today and replaced just the passenger side to see the difference (dunno why i said drivers in my original post) and its pretty substantial. has a whiter hue then the factory ones do.

I tried to take the clips off and mine is glued shut. Mine is an 05 though so it may be different. I want to change out my hi's. Any suggestions on what I should do?
