replacing oil pan gasket

2000 explorer 5.0
Is there an easier way to replace the oil pan gasket rather than completely pulling the motor, or lifting it up about 5 inches?

Not really. You could hold the engine up & take all the front suspension apart then you might be able to get the new gasket in there.
