Replacing upper oil pan gasket

So I finally got the upper oil pan off and found what looks like a roller bearing, could it be the crankshaft bearing is coming apart? Any guesses? It’s just one peice.

A lot of what I found on the web leads me to think it might be a needle bearing coming from the rocker arms, fortunately, I'm also in the process of changing the valve cover gaskets and had a chance to do a visual inspection but it didn't help much, I can't really tell, they look good from where I can see so I might have to take them off to see more closely. Bummer
